Common questions about how we price and grade your material
Scrap metal prices are tied to commodity markets — primarily COMEX for copper and LME (London Metal Exchange) for aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Steel prices track regional mill demand. We price competitively against these benchmarks, adjusted for grade, quantity, and current market movement.
Higher grades command higher prices because they require less processing before being sold to mills. Clean #1 copper (bare bright) goes directly to melt — insulated wire needs stripping first, which costs time and reduces recovery yield. The cleaner and purer your material, the closer you get to top price.
Clean your material before bringing it in. Remove insulation from wire, separate copper from steel, and keep different grades in separate bags or bins. Sorted, clean material grades higher and pays more. Call us first if you're unsure how to prep — we're happy to advise.
Yes. Commodity markets move daily, and our prices reflect current market conditions. The ranges shown on this page are estimates — call us at (602) 600-6291 for today's exact prices on your specific material.
Volume pricing is available for commercial sellers and dealers bringing consistent loads. If you're generating significant tonnage, ask about our commercial accounts — we can often offer better rates, dedicated pickup service, and net-terms payment. Contact us to discuss.
Arizona law requires a valid government-issued photo ID for all scrap metal sales. We record seller information per state requirements (ARS §44-1641 through §44-1645). This protects legitimate sellers and keeps stolen material out of the recycling stream.
